Green Value 21 (Medium-term plan on EHS Management)
CSR / EHS Management Structure
A Chief Officer of Sustainability Promotion has been appointed within SCREEN Holdings. This person oversees CSR and EHS intended to ensure that maximum consideration is given to the environment, health, and safety when we develop our business activities, that we maintain initiatives that contribute to a sustainable society, and that we are working to improve the effectiveness and outcomes of these activities.
The CSR / EHS management structure revolves around quarterly meetings of the CSR Committee and Group EHS Committee. Each Group company appoints a CSR Officer who attends meetings of the CSR Committee where he or she will periodically share information as well as coordinate with other Group companies on priority measures and Group employee CSR awareness-raising efforts. In addition, subcommittees (Disaster Prevention BCM Subcommittee, Healthcare Subcommittee, Product EHS Subcommittee, and Environment and Energy Subcommittee) have been established under the Group EHS Committee to facilitate the integrated management of environmental, health, and safety activities.
As of April 1, 2019

Group EHS Target and Performance
In Green Value 21 Phase IV (FY2018~2020), we have formulated a new EHS framework based on one of pillars of new medium-term management plan, “Promotion of CSR management focusing on ESG”. In this framework, we set a long-term goal, 20% reduction of CO2 emissions per unit of sales from our total value chain by fiscal 2026 compared with fiscal 2014 and so we are implementing wide-ranging measures. We calculate value-chain CO2 emissions by adding CO2 emissions such as those produced by SCREEN products during customer use (Scope 3) to facility CO2 emissions (Scope 1+2).
