SCREEN Holdings Co., Ltd. (SCREEN HD, President & CEO: Masato Goto) has been awarded the 2025 Porter Prize, sponsored by the School of International Corporate Strategy, Hitotsubashi University Business School (Hitotsubashi ICS). The award recognizes Japanese companies that have achieved superior profitability by implementing unique and innovative strategies.

■ About the Porter Prize
The Porter Prize was established in 2001 to recognize Japanese companies that have achieved and maintained superior profitability in a particular industry by implementing unique strategies based on innovations in products, processes, and management methods. The prize is named for Professor Emeritus Michael E. Porter of Harvard University, a leading authority on competitive strategy who has had a long-standing interest in Japanese companies and has engaged in joint research with Hitotsubashi University.

■ Reasons for recognition
SCREEN was recognized for constantly satisfying client needs through direct equipment sales as well as on-site installation and maintenance services, and for building long-term relationships of trust. The following comments were received from the organizer pertaining to the reasons of recognition.

• It has maintained the top global market share in wafer cleaning equipment, which significantly impacts the yield of semiconductor production, since 1999.
• It provides optimal services combining best solutions to cover the repeated processes of cleaning, accommodating different types of particles to be removed as well as specific structure, temperature, time, and other requirements.
• In responding to client requests, it has managed to accommodate demand fluctuations, delivery management, quality control, and highly efficient and reliable maintenance services.

The award ceremony will be held at the 2025 Porter Prize Competitiveness Conference, scheduled for December 2, 2025, at Hitotsubashi Hall.
