Kyoto, Japan – August 22, 2023 – SCREEN Holdings Co., Ltd. has opened the Takaoka Plant in Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture, as part of the effort to bolster production capacity of its Semiconductor Production Equipment (SPE) business. The new plant will start operation on August 23, 2023.

As a factory dedicated to producing chemical solution cabinets for our single-wafer cleaning systems, the flagship products of our SPE business, the Takaoka Plant will be capable of completing all processes from assembly to inspection non-stop, thereby improving the productivity and efficiency of the SPE business as a whole.

Expecting a long-term growth of the SPE market, we have been investing in the construction of a new factory, S³-5, in Hikone, Shiga Prefecture, as well in increasing the production capacity of our three SPE-related group companies in Japan, in line with our business plan.

We will continue to invest in expanding the market share, improving profitability, and enhancing product leadership of our SPE business, and thereby contribute to the further development of the semiconductor industry.​​​​​​​
