Kyoto, Japan – January 26, 2023 – SCREEN Semiconductor Solutions Co., Ltd. (SCREEN SPE, president: Masato Goto), a SCREEN Holdings Group company, has been awarded Gold Status by the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA)* following a Validated Audit Process (VAP) conducted at the company’s Hikone Plant (also covering its Taga Plant).

To fulfill its social responsibilities as a corporation, the SCREEN Group has established both a CSR Charter and a Code of Conduct. While the CSR Charter includes principles of action based on its corporate philosophy, the Code of Conduct lays out standards that all executives and employees should adhere to. Every member of the Group is expected to practice responsible behavior as a good corporate citizen.

At the end of November 2022, SCREEN SPE’s Hikone Plant (including its Taga Plant) underwent a VAP performed by an RBA certification agency. The audit examined areas such as the plants’ labor, health and safety, environment, ethics, and management systems. Following the inspection, the agency confirmed all systems were operating appropriately and awarded SCREEN SPE Gold Status under the RBA’s certification program.

The SCREEN Group remains fully committed to satisfying the hopes and expectations of its many stakeholders and to fulfilling its social responsibilities as a corporation. It will also continue its initiatives to resolve various environmental and social issues through its business activities in order to support the development of a sustainable society.

 

* The RBA is the world’s largest industry coalition dedicated to delivering sustainable value to workers, the environment, and businesses throughout the entire global supply chain. It has established the RBA Code of Conduct as a set of standards designed to ensure working conditions are safe and workers are treated with dignity and respect within the supply chain. The Code is likewise intended to ensure business activities are conducted ethically and responsibly with regard to their environmental impact. The RBA has also created a system under which authorized third-party auditors evaluate whether organizations are implementing management practices in a humane and sound manner in accordance with the Code.
