Kyoto, Japan - May 16, 2016 - The SCREEN Group and its employees express deep condolences for the disaster victims of the earthquakes in Kumamoto that have been occurring since April 14. We sincerely hope for the swift recovery of the people and areas affected by the disaster.
SCREEN Holdings has made the decision to lend a portion of the commercial lots in Kumamoto Rinkuu Techno Park (located in Mashiki-machi, Kumamoto Prefecture) that are owned by the company to Mashiki-machi, to be used for emergency temporary housing of the victims that have been affected by the Kumamoto disaster.
This is a strong measure of support for the restoration efforts in Kumamoto Prefecture and Mashiki-machi, which will provide lots for around 520 households and related facilities (approximately 98,000 square meters) without charge for a period of time.
Efforts will be made to ensure that this measure will not have an impact on the group's existing business plan.
