Setup Station CU-9000

The CU-9000 is a setup station system that is able to rapidly transmit design data from CAD and CAM units to Dainippon Screen’s inspection and exposure systems. The CU-9000 fully exploits the performance of these Screen systems and also provides an operation environment with automated setup and other functions that do not require specialized skills.
The ability to handle a variety of data formats and check images on a graphics screen during operation allows PCB manufacturers to easily assign information optimized for the use of each system. The CU-9000 makes it possible to create an efficient manufacturing line for each customer.

Features

[For inspection systems] CU-9000-PI (Inspection system setup and editing software package)

1. High-speed batch setup of inspection data
Advance preparation of the inspection recipe (inspection parameter setting standards) and PCB structure information (layer and drill details) enables automatic batch setup of PCB regardless of the number of layers. The operator need only select the inspection recipe in order to quickly and effortlessly create the inspection data.

2. Automatic extraction of inspection areas
The CU-9000 is able to automatically extract from the PCB design data specific areas that either require strict inspection, such as signal lines and pad sections, or do not require close checks, such as power layers and sections with lettering. Missing hole inspection and DRC inspection mask areas can also be created automatically. Accurately capturing individual areas in this way enables maximum performance to be obtained from the inspection system.

[For exposure systems] CU-9000-LI (Exposure system setup and editing software package)

  1. Image comparison
Design data and the imaging data including corrections created immediately before output can be compared and inspected on the CU-9000. This helps to maintain the quality and accuracy of imaging data as well as the reliability of PCB.

  2. Serial image instructions
It is possible to issue instructions for imaging including serial number character strings, two-dimensional codes (QR, DataMatrix), and PCB expansion and contraction ratios. This contributes to the efficiency of post-exposure PCB management.

  3. Standard server function
The CU-9000 supports as a standard specification intermediate server software that is able to batch manage job data and efficiently divide it into different sections. This is valuable when design and production departments are located in different areas or multiple exposure systems are operated.
