Main exhibits
■Commercial printing solutions
SCREEN will stage a live demonstration that links its flagship Truepress JET 560HDX roll-fed digital system in-line with a Hunkeler cut and stack postpress system. The exhibit will use variable data processing to highlight the solution’s practicality for commercial printing applications. While the required design data can be time-consuming to create, SCREEN intends to show how different types of design data can be efficiently produced using PDFormstudio, its ground-breaking software solution for variable data.
The demonstration will also feature Truepress ink SC2, a proprietary range of water-based pigment inks that eliminate the need for surface processing, even when outputting on offset coated papers. These inks enable printing that fully utilizes the unique textures offered by different paper types as well as vibrant colors and contrasts comparable to offset printing.
■Transactional printing solutions
SCREEN will stage a live demonstration of its new Truepress JET 520NX AD for the transactional printing market. This cutting-edge system is capable of print speeds of up to 225 meters per minute1, enabling it to meet the high productivity requirements in this demanding field. The demonstration will utilize Truepress ink NP, SCREEN’s range of high-density pigment inks, to ensure consistent quality even at maximum speed.
The Truepress JET 520NX AD is also equipped with JetInspection, a built-in inspection system that enables real-time scanning of the entire surface of all pages in a job2. As client confidence is of the utmost importance in the transactional printing sector, this system provides highly dependable operation that guarantees printing performance.
■Collaborations with partner companies
IBIS Bindery Systems will exhibit the IBIS saddle stitch binding system in SCREEN’s booth. The system is currently in high demand across Europe. Visitors to the booth will be able to see rolls printed by the Truepress JET 520HD+ and Truepress JET 520NX AD be processed with saddle stitching and binding by the system until they are fully processed.
SCREEN will also supply rolls printed on its Truepress JET 520HD+ system with SC+ inks to the Hunkeler, Hohner and Horizon booths and provide support during each company’s demonstrations. The rolls will be printed with control barcodes generated by EQUIOS, SCREEN’s proprietary solution platform. These barcodes ensure smooth transitions between different jobs within rolls during postprocessing and avoid costly disruptions. Additionally, SCREEN plans to join with Muller Martini and Solimar to introduce workflows that link EQUIOS with the companies’ products.
1. Print speed of 225 meters per minute can be achieved with an optional function for the Truepress JET 520NX AD.
2. Real-time scanning of the entire surface is an optional function for JetInspection, a built-in inspection system.
