SCREEN Holdings Co., Ltd., SCREEN PE Solutions Co., Ltd., and SCREEN Semiconductor Solutions Co., Ltd. have received the Okochi Memorial Production Prize during the 72nd annual award ceremony sponsored by the Okochi Foundation. This is the second time for SCREEN to receive this award.

The Okochi Prizes are awarded annually to researchers and companies, etc., to acknowledge outstanding contribution to R&D in the fields of production engineering and production technology in Japan. Of which, the Okochi Memorial Production Prize is given to enterprises which have made a major industrial achievement based on excellent invention or design in production technology and advanced production methods, etc.

SCREEN received the award on the account of developing a direct imaging system with optical source and modulator optimized for advanced IC substrates. The combination of optical technology, data and image processing technology, and system integration knowhow developed over the years enabled mask-less exposure to directly form patterns on substrates. By employing direct imaging technology in printed circuit board and semiconductor device production, we can contribute to their increased flexibility, cost saving, and lead time reduction.
