Powerful support for efficient operation of PCB production system

The UP-8000 is software that supports the efficient operation of the printed circuit board production system by further developing the functions of our existing CAM data conversion software (DC-3000). By introducing the UP-8000, the design data from the CAD and CAM can be immediately transmitted to our inspection system and exposure system. Consequently, the capabilities of each system can be maximized, which in turn improves the productivity and quality of the production system. Furthermore, customers can construct an optimized system by combining the various flexible functions of the UP-8000 in accordance with their own needs.

FEATURES

1. ASAP (AOI Setup Assistant Program) function
   Using the CAD and CAM data and PCB information, ASAP automatically and quickly creates the optimum inspection parameters for the optical inspection system (PI) in accordance with the preset criteria. The setup time before starting the inspection has been greatly reduced, which results in a dramatic improvement in the inspection efficiency.
2. High precision hard DRC functions
   This function reduces the occurrence of incorrect information in the DRC inspection of the inspection system (PI). The ability to detect minute short circuits and wire breakings in the DRC inspection of the inspection system (PI) are extensively improved by preprocessing the CAD and CAM data for the circuit board that is to be inspected. This function can improve efficiency and realize a more precise inspection.
3. Simplification of mask data creation for inspection
   The UP-8000 is equipped with a new function that helps create the mask data for inspection.
   • Mask data editing
     Mask data for inspection can be edited and created whilst viewing conversion data.
   • Inspection mask creation for drill data
     Drill hole mask data can be created automatically according to the specifications set when creating the mask.
   • Automatic inspection area creation
     Inspection areas can be sampled automatically from design data.
4. Exposure system control
   The unit can be used as a control terminal for the mask exposure systems (RG, VIOLD) and the direct imaging systems (Mercurex).
   Process registration and changes can be made for each system from the UP-8000. Data prior to imaging can also be checked.
5. Image data creation for the final inspection system
   Image data for use with final inspection systems can be created easily from design (CAD, CAM) data.
6. Simple editing function
   When problems have occurred in the CAD and CAM data due to new DRC and outline processing, the easy-to-use editing function of UP-8000 can correct this data.
7. Outline processing
   The UP-8000 converts outline data into cut-out data.
