Dainippon Screen Receives
ISO9000-Series Certification for All Manufacturing Facilities

Dainippon Screen Mfg. Co., Ltd., (headquarters: Kyoto, Japan; president: Akira Ishida) announces that ISO9000-series certification has now been obtained for all six of its Manufacturing Facilities. The ISO9000 series is an array of quality assurance standards administered by the International Standardization Organization (ISO).

On February 13, 1998, ISO9001 certification was granted for Dainippon ScreenOs graphic arts software development and production by TUV Rheinland Japan LTD., a member of TUV CERT, the German-based certification organization. This completes reception of ISO9000-series certification for all DS Manufacturing Facilities. The entire process required about two years from the initial certification in January, 1996.

Dainippon Screen first established an Environmental Management Department in July 1994 to promote safer product management and provide guidance on environmental issues.The certification histories for each of Dainippon Screen's manufacturing facilities are listed below.
